GORGEOUS AUGMENTED REALITY GAMES

Are you looking for a way to get your customers more engaged to drive profit? As the top AR agency in Montreal, we believe augmented reality is the ultimate solution to drive long-term engagement. Indeed, with AR, it’s possible to add a new dimension to entertainment that allows your customers to become active participants instead of passive viewers.

We’ve seen from our own eyes how AR can bring a new level of interactivity and engagement to your experience by merging the real world with the virtual one. No wonder why the market of augmented reality services is exploding right now.

Entertainment requires a certain healthy dose of novelty to capture and retain your customers’ attention. That’s why leveraging new technologies like augmented reality is critical to stay relevant. Today, the younger generation is more connected than ever, and their expectation of immersive experience is at an all-time high.

1- MOBILE GAME

When used right, augmented reality can bring mobile games to the next level by introducing a more immersive experience. One great example of this is the worldwide success of Pokemon GO. Their colossal success encouraged game developers from all around the globe to make their own AR games.

Some other examples of AR games that were widely successful are Ingress PrimeThe Walking DeadOur World, Jurassic World Alive, and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

One thing to keep in mind is that you don’t need to make an entirely AR game. You could use augmented reality in only a tiny part of your game where you think it could add a massive amount of value.

Even though we call ourselves an AR agency and not a game agency, we love playing games and making games even more. So if you have an AR game idea or want to add an augmented reality feature to your existing game, we can help!

Pokemon Go Mobile App services

Pokemon GO mobile app

Pokemon GO is the best example of an AR game that keeps people engaged. It was developed and published in 2016 by Niantic in collaboration with Nintendo.

The game is so engaging that some players would walk in the middle of the street while glued to their phones. Of course, this is incredibly dangerous and should be avoided, but you get the point.

We can help you build a similar game using the game engine Unity and augmented reality.

2- GAMIFICATION

One of the best ways to engage your audience is to gamify your product or service. Gamification is the process of using game mechanics to non-game applications to drive user engagement. Using a combination of augmented reality and games principles, you can finally make your boring product or service fun.

You can use many different game elements to achieve the desired effect of increasing engagement. For example, you can combine a point system with a leaderboard to encourage your players to keep playing. Also, you can divide your experience into different levels that become increasingly hard. They act as a form of motivation. You could also use other game features like achievements, badges, progress bars, quests, etc…

Companies often apply gamification to recruitment, marketing, brand activation, employee training, and organizational productivity.

Volvo S60 Augmented Reality App

Volvo S60 Augmented Reality App

On March 12, 2011, Volvo launched an incredible marketing AR campaign in partnership with YouTube.

On that particular date only, you were able to download an app that allowed you to scan an ad on YouTube’s masthead with your phone. Once scanned, you could drive the Volvo S60 around on a racetrack. But, of course, if the user didn’t download the app, it would behave as a traditional advertisement.

The results were outstanding. They got a 9.6% interaction rate, 192,319 clicks of engagement on the masthead, and Volvocars.com traffic when up 293%!

3- MUSIC EXPERIENCE

AR can dramatically change the way we perceive musical experiences. For example, during a music concert, the audience could download an AR app to incorporate augmented reality elements on the stage. Back in 2018, the legendary U2’s experience did precisely that. They incorporated AR elements during the show’s opening where the fans who held their phones could see Bono in a much larger form on top of the crowd.

You could also use augmented reality to create a successful marketing campaign as they did with Michael Jackson’s album entitled Michael Jackson Scream in 2017. The customers who bought the album also got a scannable AR poster that brought spooky Halloween visualization from MJ’s face.

Lastly, AR can also serve as your tutor when learning musical instruments. One application that did precisely that and successfully launched is Music everywhere. Using the AR app, you can point your phone’s camera into a musical instrument like a piano, and indicators appear overlaid on top of the device to help you play along with a specific song.

We are the leading AR agency in Montreal, and we can help you bring your music experience to the next level. You don’t have to be technically savvy since we take care of everything from the strategy to the development.

AR Services Music

The first ever AR music video

In 2009, the artist John Mayer surprised everyone by coming up with the first-ever AR-enabled music video

The technique used is called marker-based augmented reality. Basically, during the video, John is holding a piece of paper with a designated image marker (in this case, a broken heart), and the music video of John Mayer follows it around the screen.

You can get any virtual element overlaid on top of that marker in theory. The fantastic thing is that anyone can live the same musical experience by printing out the image marker yourself.

If you are a musician and looking for ways to distinguish yourself from the crowd, this is a great way to do just that.

OUR PROCESS

Building a winning strategy

The exact process will entirely depend on the type of augmented reality experience you are looking for. So the first step is to make sure that the AR technology used is the right one for your specific project. Next, we’ll work with you to establish a game plan that fits your vision and budget. We have been offering AR services for a while now, so we have developed a deep understanding of what makes an augmented reality project successful. We found that the most critical step was planning. Often, other AR agency will start working on the development right away, forgetting the essential step of establishing a winning game plan.

Designing your experience

We understand that making music is an incredibly challenging creative process. Therefore, we believe augmented reality music experiences should be designed accordingly. So we’ll gather dozens of images and references to help us create a truly unique experience that reflects your brand.

Next, we’ll design mockups of the final design to get quick feedback from you. Once we hear back from you, we’ll modify the layout until you are delighted with the look and feel of the experience.

Testing, 1,2,3...

We will test it extensively on every targetted publishing platform before we can release your augmented reality-powered music experience into the world. We understand the importance of testing; it’s the difference between a total flop and a thriving music AR experience.
